This is the long overdue post that I have been trying to finish. Glad it’s up now! And this will be my Weekend Snapshot entry for the week! I had a trip for the whole month of February back in Phils. and this is one of the places I had the chance to check out again. I posted photos of this in my Flickr a few weeks ago but never got to sharing some stories. So, here it is now!

According to their site, Malagos Garden Resort has a 12 hectare inland Nature Theme Resort located in Bgy. Malagos, Calinan, Davao City. It has the amenities of a Full Service Resort with Overnight Rooms and Accomodations, Function and Seminar Halls, Restaurants and Coffee Shop, Landscaped Gardens, Bird Park, Butterfly Sanctuary, Swimming Pool, Children’s Playground, Adventure Activities, among others. It is home to the Philippine Orchid, Vanda Sanderiana, commonly referred to as the Waling Waling, indigenous birds and other wildlife species, the Malagos Gardens Amazing Bird Show and sculptures of Philippine National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon Abueva. Truly a unique blend of art, commerce and nature amidst the cool mountain breeze of the highlands of Davao City.

I actually been here the nth times! I love going here because of the lush flowers and the fresh air. Since we have a house in the city, we get to visit once in a while! And the recent visit was raining! I wished it wasn’t! My little boy has been playing at the pool for a few minutes but the rain didn’t stop so we had to leave early. But I took photos for you to see them;-)

Entrance fee is 100 pesos per adult and 50 pesos for the kids. It has a free yummy hot cocoa at the restaurant so it’s not that pricey!

1. When we entered one of their workers there told me, there’s not much orchids because it’s not the season. I wa sad for a bit because that was one of the reason we went there..That water buffalo man made carrying flowers says it all that flowers isn’t blooming that time!   2. Not sure what that flowers was but it has tons there. 3. A pretty red flower that I took using my macro lens 4. From the small pond. A cart with the flowers.

5. The bird show area. When we went there, we had the chance to check out their bird show! Show casing different kinds of animals. That my youngest had a fun time running around the place:) 6. The huge area where kids can actually roam around and play! Too bad it was raining when we went there. 7. The dunky this man is showing off:) 8. Ostrich with his care taker:)

Huge Butterflies!:)Butterfly SunctuaryHot Cocoa

9. We went straight to the Butterfly garden! There wasn’t any butterflies though because it was beginning to rain heavy! But those cute huge butterflies make it a nice place to see.. 10. Another greeny plants . 11. The free hot cocoa in the restaurant! 12. My little boy had fun looking at this cute ducks:)

13. The sign going to the butterfly garden. 14. Those Japanese Koi at the pond near the resturant. 15. The deserted pool that my little boy really love to swim! Wish it wasn’t raining.. 16.The beautiful flower waiting to bloom was drench by the rain! :)

If you like to see the photos in a bigger size, take a look at my Flickr account! The place is really nice! Fresh and full of greeny plants:) There are so much to do but my battery ran out that I never got the chance to take photos in everything..Next time!

Coming right up will be my Tinago Falls trip:) Ta!
